Liberty Living brand-owner contemplates floating student accommodation funds' assets on stockmarke

Liberty Living brand-owner Brandeaux, has contemplated floating its student accommodation funds' assets on the stock market in order to repay investors. Investors' money has been tied up in the £1bn fund since July '13 when the firm suspended it after being unable to meet redemption requests. Brandeaux has blamed the FCA ban on promotioning unregulated collective investment schemes to retail investors.

Brandeaux fund owns and manages about 17,000 purpose-built student beds across 17 UK cities, including Cardiff and Leeds.
