DfE Confirms Tuition Fee Freeze

Work has started on a new multi-million pound Preston development, with the developers hope will help alleviate a 'lack of high-quality student accommodation' in the city.
With Alpha Homes backing the project, Harbur Construction are scheduled to deliver 'Jubilee Court' by July 2016. The building, once complete, will be able to house 226 students in 44 five-bed flats and 20 studios. It will also have a cinema, a games room, laundry facilities and a study space.
The rooms will most directly benefit University of Lancashire students, as it is situated right next to their campus (itself undergoing a huge £200 million regeneration) on Fylde Road.
Richard Hutchinson, Managing Director of Harbur Construction has said of the scheme,
"The Fylde Road development is Harbur's first scheme in the student accommodation sector, but we already have an array of other student development opportunities in the pipeline, so it's a time of real expansion and growth for Harbur Construction. The development is located close to the main university campus and is being built using high quality materials so the properties will be robust enough for student living."
