After the completion of Ulster University's new Belfast campus there has been quite an explosion in the Belfast student market as developers look to fill the gap created by the new, larger student body.
This week, true to recent form, has seen the submission of three new major housing blocks in the city, close to Queen's University.
The proposed developments at McClintock Street, College Avenue and Dublin Road would add 1,000 beds to the stock in the area.
McAleer and Rushe foresee a 2018 completion date for the McClintock Street and College Avenue schemes. The Dublin Road block on the other hand has already faced opposition for the perceived noise and anti-social behaviour it would create.
