The University of Bath is Looking For Someone to Build a £20 Million Block

As Bath looks to provide accommodation for its impending student influx over the next 5 years, the University of Bath is currently looking for a groundworks and building contractor to build a large new block at its main campus.

The 21.8 million contract would cover 1.8 million in groundworks and 20 million in resulting contruction, providing 293-en-suite rooms for students.

Bath will be seeing a lot of construction over the next 5 years as the city looks to accommodate the 9,200 extra students it is expected to be housing by 2020.

To this end the council is also still drawing up its 'Placemaking Plan' which will outline a plan of attack for both the city and the wider North Somerset area.
