Robertson Construction England is now working on its fourth student development project of the year, a £20 million build due to be completed next summer.
The 329-apartment development in New Bridge Street in Newcastle is Robertson's third this year the city alone, joining other ongoing developments in the centre of Newcastle at Plummer House (£14.1 million) and Clavering Place (£8.6 million).
The Plummer House development is designed by Corstophine and Wright and will contain 251 studios and apartments inside a renovated Grade-II listed building. The ground floor will also have room for retail units.
Clavering Place will contain 210 apartments across 7-storeys and will be the first development to hit the market should it finish on schedule in June 2016.
Their other development in Durham is setting them back £11.5 million as they look to build 214 new beds on a brownfield site in the city.
