Falmouth's Rosslyn Hotel to Be Replaced with Student Accommodation

Posted by Richard Ward in

A planning application that is seeking to replace the Rosslyn Hotel in Falmouth with purpose built student accommodation has already received various comments from people opposing the development.

The plan is to provide 128 student beds at the site on Kimberley Park Road. The development will be fully managed with both an accommodation manager and maintenance staff based on the site. Additional out of office hours' support will be provided by trained wardens, who will be on hand to provide a contact point for local residents should the need arise.

The scheme has been put forward by Studious Building Ltd and is not specifically designed for first year students. Occupants of the facility will be required to respect any reasonable requests from the management team and to ensure that they refrain from any activity that might be of annoyance to neighbours.

It's expected that the application will be discussed on June 20 by Falmouth Town Council's planning committee.
