New Student Accommodation Unveiled in Bath

Located on a street once homed to Jane Austen the new accommodation in Green Park was unveiled earlier this week.

The newly built accommodation has replaced the previously derelict office and former care home located on the site. Now standing in its place lies 461 bed spaces for Bath Spa University to house new and continuing students.

The new development will enable the university to ensure that all of its first year students have access to purpose built student housing, thereby relieving some of the pressure on private housing in the region.

In addition, it will allow the university to launch a new scheme whereby it will offer continuing students the ability to live in halls of residents for three full years of study.

Green Park was developed by Berkeley Homes and has been designed and built using Bath Stone and Georgian architecture so that it remains sympathetic to its setting.

The development will come fully equipped with laundry facilities, a common room, as well as bike racks and disabled parking.
