The planning application that will see the Ocean Bowl site in Falmouth being redeveloped as well as the creation of 275 student beds has now been officially submitted with the Cornwall Council.

Rengen Developments Ltd and Empiric Student Property Plc are acting as joint developers for the scheme and are looking to create high quality student accommodation that comes equipped with en-suite facilities, as well as study rooms, a gym, cinema room, lounge and reception.

Under the plans the development would provide a total of 275 student beds along with a cafe which would be open to the public. The student accommodation would be a mix of six bed townhouses, four bed high houses, single studios, twin and triple apartments and is intended to appeal to both first years and post-graduates.

Residents in the surrounding area have already voiced their concerns and will be represented at the town council's planning committee meeting to be held on Monday, July 11th, where the application is due to be debated.
