Students Unhappy Over Rent Refunds

Demolition work is underway in Plymouth as crews take apart the old Comet store in the city to make way for new luxury student flats, restaurants and shops.
The planned accommdoation block has been described as 'unashamedly magnificent' by its developer Aspire Student Living, with the apartments being aimed at wealthy overseas students attending Plymouth University. In fact, some of the apartments are planned to be 'larger than a three bedroom house', with the block being compared to a 'boutique hotel'.
Construction work is scheduled to begin on the hopefully cleared out site by January 2017 and Plymouth City Council has issued notice that Market Way (a road in the city centre running alongside the site) will be closed from January until May 31, for construction of accommodation for "wealthy students".
