Plans have been put forward to build an additional 25 student bedrooms in a building attached to the existing Grinfield Street accommodation next to Queensland Street in Liverpool.

Situated on vacant land, the plans call for the construction of additional student accommodation spread across four cluster apartments, with communal facilities and cycle parking.

According to the planning document submitted to Liverpool City Council: "The proposal sits comfortably within the existing character of the area, designed to blend into the existing building with massing and scale appropriate to both the existing building and the neighbouring properties."

Designed by architects Falconer Chester Hall, the new student housing will be made up of three seven bedroom apartments and one four bed, each with a shared lounge and kitchen area.

No off-street car parking has been incorporated into the plans, with developers suggesting that due to its proximity to the universities and the frequency of bus services it isn't required.
