The Times Higher Education Awards has released its shortlist for 2017, with Canterbury Christ Church University bagging a nomination in the Most Improved Student Experience category.

The annual awards ceremony spans a large part of the higher education sector, with a wide range of awards across multiple disciplines. But unlike other categories, which are judged, the Most Improved Student Experience award is voted for by around 20,000 anonymous students, surveyed by YouthSight, a market research specialist.

Professor Rama Thirunamachandran, Vice-Chancellor of Canterbury Christ Church University has said of the nomination: "We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award, particularly as it is one that is voted for by our students. We have worked hard to continuously improve the experience we offer our students and this award nomination demonstrates that our students are feeling these improvements."

The award also reflects findings which will comprise part of Times Higher Education's 2018 student experience survey, which is due to be published early next year.
