UCLan Offers Partial Refunds

As part of an effort to upgrade its North Parade site, Bath Cricket Club has submitted plans for both a cricket school and a student accommodation block.
The scheme, lodged with Bath and North East Somerset Council this week, proposes a quite conventional cricket school and gym. However the cricket club is also looking to move into student accommodation, proposing a 142-bed development, that will prospectively house second and third year students from both of the city's major universities.
The redevelopment has been prompted by the English Cricket Board announcing earlier this year that the current indoor cricket school on the site no longer meets its requirements.
Matt Hankins, the club chairman, outlined their pitch by saying, "We believe the best way to safeguard the club's future and be able to continue our work with local schools and community is to redevelop some of our site and include an element of private development."
The council is expected to rule on the proposal in mid-December.
