Faithful + Gould have won the management contract on Loughborough University's £44 million development project.

The firm specialises in project and cost management and will manage the development of the new student village at Loughborough University.

The scheme consists of 617 new student beds split across nine blocks along with a central social hub.

Also included in the project is a 44-bed Elite Athlete Centre, with 20 bedrooms equipped with a pressurised air system to replicate high altitude conditions.

Commenting on the project, head of cost management for the East Midlands, Tom Wallbank, said: "This is a very innovative and important development for the University that we're delighted to be involved with.

"We have a long-standing relationship with the University and this flagship development allows us to continue that journey of delivering shared success stories."

The Elite Athlete Centre and two blocks of student accommodation will be delivered in August of 2018, with the remainder of the student beds to be delivered in 2019.
