ISG has begun work on a £40 million contract with Fusion Students to deliver a major new block of student accommodation in central Cardiff.

The 675-bed development will consist of 26 storeys and has been designed by Corstorphine & Wright Architects.

The student accommodation is being branded as 'high-end' and will feature communal facilities such as a cinema, gym, private dining space and 26th floor sky bar.

The development is being built on a vacant plot of land in the city centre, and sits close to the University of South Wales and the Cardiff University.

The project is due for completion in the summer of 2019 ahead of the new academic year.

ISG has a history of delivery key projects in Cardiff and is currently delivering a £100 million Central Square redevelopment opposite Cardiff Central Train Station.
