Next week Empiric Student Property plan to hold an exhibition of their plans to redevelop a former Christian adult school in Canterbury into student flats.

Empiric is looking to submit a planning application early next year, but in hopes of improving their chances of approval they'll be showcasing their plans to the public. Specifically the plans concern turning the old Franciscan International Study Centre into student flats, featuring games rooms, a gym, work and reading rooms and offices.

Chief Information Officer of Empiric, Tim Attlee, has stated that "We have been developing our proposals since acquiring the site in summer 2017, and are now ready to share our thoughts with the local community. We would encourage everyone to come along, view the plans and let us know what they think."

Events such as these allow developers to identify whether local residents have any concerns regarding the proposals, and crucially, allow developers to make any possible adjustments to their proposal before submitting them to the lengthy process of planning approval.

The exhibition is due to be held at the Franciscan International Study Centre on the 5th December from 3pm to 7:30pm.
