The development of the Park Hill Estate in Sheffield has now entered phase three of the project.

Urban Splash is teaming up with Alumno Developments to create a 350-bed student development, along with new shops and facilities.

Alumno, the student accommodation developer, is working with Whittam Cox Architects to build student accommodation as part of the commercial and residential development already underway at the Grade-2 listed block of flats.

The project is due for completion in time for the 2020-21 academic year and will consist of around 350 bedrooms grouped in clusters of four and eight bedrooms.

Phase 3 of the development follows the completion of 260 homes, 10 contemporary workspaces and the Grace Owen children's nursey.

Commenting on the project, David Campbell, managing direct at Alumno, said: "This is a special project and we are very grateful for the opportunity to be part of the regeneration of Park Hill. The Estate has an amazing historical structure and importance for Sheffield, and we would like to make a positive contribution to its vibrancy and future life."

"The views of the community are important so we are looking forward to hearing what people think."
