A former beauty therapist in Lancaster looks like it will be transformed into student accommodation after it was gutted by a fire.
The building was devastated by a fire last April after the blaze spread from the adjoining Mary Street and led to a number of businesses closing down or relocating. Those business affected included Nicholas Evans Print Workshop, 848 Taxis, Luma Holistic Therapies, The Christian Bookshop and Amy's Cafe.
Now plans have been put forward by Mr R Grayston, of building Plan Services to develop the site into a total of three student bedrooms along with three bathrooms, a communal kitchen dining area and lounge.
The proposals will be put forward and discussed at a future planning meeting.
