Plans to build new student accommodation in Leeds will go before councillors this week, with Q Property Ltd showcasing their revised proposals after an initial submission in December last year.

After initial discussions with the council the company is set to unveil new plans to Leeds City Council's Plans Panel on Thursday.

A pre-application report said the proposal is being brought back to the City Plans Panel to present changes to the development in response to members comments on the previous application.

Along with student accommodation, the scheme will feature a lounge, reception area, breakfast room and study rooms for residents.

The report submitted as part of the application indicates councillors supported the principle use of the development, with 98 student studios helping to take pressure off the need to use private housing as student accommodation.

The revised pre-application has changed the position of the block, while a larger area for landscaping would also be created.

The company already owns Q One located adjacent to the site, which consist of 84 apartments.
