Royal Holloway in Egham has been named as one of the UK's top 30 universities in the latest league table compiled by the Complete University Guide.

The guide assesses university performance including student satisfaction, research quality and entry requirements.

The institution was also in the top ten for three of its subject areas including creative writing, geology and marketing.

Commenting on the ranking, Professor Paul Layzell, Principal of Royal Holloway said: "Royal Holloway is privileged to be home to some of the world's leading authorities in science, the arts, management, economics and law. I am delighted that our strength in these areas has been recognised by having three subject areas in the top ten in the UK."

"We continually invest in resources for our students and to advance the positive impact we can achieve as a research-intensive university. In September we opened the Emily Wilding Davison Building, a state-of-the-art facility which brings together our library, employability and student services."

"Later this year we will open the Beatrice Shilling Building, which will be home to the Department of Electronic Engineering. This technology led building will provide high quality facilities for all students and staff."
