Plans to transform Viking House in Lincoln along with neighbouring properties into student accommodation look set to gain approval.
The site is currently occupied by two buildings, with both properties formerly used as offices.
The proposals put forward by Globe Consultants call for extensions to the north of Viking House and the construction of a partial subterranean building to provide four storeys of student accommodation.
In total 236 student apartments will be created under the plans, with the flats sharing communal kitchen areas.
Documents submitted as part of the application said: "Combined with a clever design approach and the use of architecture which is unashamedly contemporary in nature in places, it is felt that the development proposals will enhance the local townscape."
