Student Portfolio Up for Sale

Newly submitted plans have earmarked a redevelopment site in Sheffield that could become flats for nearly 300 students.
Fraser Morgan has put forward the application to develop a site in Allen Street, which would see the existing warehouse and office properties demolished to make way for the scheme.
Under the proposals, a new building of between five and seven storeys would be constructed containing 289 self-contained studio apartments. The development would also feature a large reception, study rooms, cinema, gym and roof garden.
The applicant has already held pre-applications talks with the council and argue the development would meet the need for additional accommodation for students at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University.
Documents submitted as part of the application said student well-being and the student experience had influenced the design and layout of the proposed building.
The proposed site for the accommodation sits adjacent to the newly built Brass Founders student accommodation, which consists of 437 beds and is managed by Unite Students.
