A five-storey block of student accommodation in central Manchester has been sold by agent GVA for an undisclosed fee.

Clydesdale House in Turner Street consists of 62 student bedrooms located across four floors, each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a communal kitchen, lounge and dining areas.

The ground floor provides office and retail space, while meeting rooms and washrooms are available at basement level.

The student accommodation is just 15 minutes away by bus from the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Commenting on the transaction, Sholom Cohen at GVA said: "Over the past decade, commercial property prices in the Northern Quarter have risen significantly, alongside the rocketing number of student accommodation options across Manchester."

"The Northern Quarter's vibrant dining and nightlife scene, as well as its retail offering, make it an extremely attractive place to live and work, and the level of interest in the building reflected that."
