Hull's new University Quarter has opened following a £60 million investment to create 200 new homes and two refurbished halls of residence.
The newly opened student accommodation has been developed in partnership with Kexgill, which already owns and operates 300 student bedrooms in the University Quarter.
The project will complete over the next two years, through to the end of 2020, with additional en-suite cluster accommodation being introduced every week. Once finished it will accommodate more than 1,300 students, partly in 200 brand new and full refurbished Edwardian properties.
Commenting on the development, Richard Scott, managing director of the UQ and Kexgill Group, said: "The University Quarter is more than just student accommodation - we are creating a thriving, supportive community. This project has been built with the needs of modern-day students at the very heart of it and we're proud to generating a unique environment that provides students with the right blend of independence and support they need to thrive in stylish cluster accommodation, designed with their needs in mind."
"We pride ourselves on being a great landlord first and foremost. As well as providing students with the best possible living experience no matter what the budget, we're here to support them at every stage of their tenancy. All of our staff are fully trained to provide optimum levels of support in order to ensure UQ tenants can have the time of their lives in a safe and secure environment."
