Alumno Group are behind two of Norwich's large new developments and have now put forward plans to deliver a further 302 student bedrooms.

The company is responsible for the All Saints' Green and Pablo Fanque House developments and has formally lodged plans to build on top of a car park behind the former Toys R Us.

The firm is looking to incorporate the car park into the building's ground floor and retain it for public use, although this would result in a reduction of the number of spaces available.

This reduction will provide the space required to offer students living in the block cycle storage.

The purpose-built student accommodation will consist of 113 studio flats as well as 189 cluster apartments.

Speaking in June, Davide Campbell, managing director at Alumno, said: "This project will redevelop an important entry point to the city centre, re-provide and modernise the existing parking capacity, whilst at the same time providing state of the art modern accommodation for students studying in Norwich."

"Students form an increasingly important part of the fabric and diverse nature of the community in Norwich, and with this development we hope to continue to contribute to that rich vibrancy whilst supporting the local economy."
