Lancaster University Ranked in World Top 50 for Arts & Humanities

Lancaster University has been ranked in the top 50 for Arts & Humanities in the latest Times Higher Education rankings for 2019.

THE World University Rankings by subject places Arts and Humanities at Lancaster at 44.

The University also ranked highly for Education, which is placed joint 36th in the world.

Commenting on the rankings, Lancaster University Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Professor Simon Guy, said: "We are delighted that the exceptional strength of our arts and humanities at Lancaster University has been recognised by our top 50 THE World University Ranking."

"Our commitment to be at the leading edge of scholarly research, set within an ethos of interdisciplinary collaboration, distinguishes Lancaster's approach to research and education in the field."

"We are rightly proud of this achievement."

This year's rankings expanded to include 506 institutions and helps to highlight the universities that are leading across various subjects.
