Planning permission has been granted to Reuben & Morgan to build a 24-storey block of student accommodation consisting of more than 500 bed spaces.
Situated in Lancaster Street, Birmingham, the scheme will contain 556 student bed spaces in 199 flats.
The residence will also come equipped with 82 cycle spaces, a social hub, lobby area, fitness studio, laundry facilities and office space.
The proposed scheme will sit opposite the 1,000-bed student development granted approval in 2018.
Documents submitted ahead of the decision, said: "This application site is close to Eastside, which is designated as the 'learning quarter' and is considered to be in a suitable and sustainable location for student accommodation."
"It is within an area where there are already a number of existing student residential schemes and others under construction."
"Given these adjacent sites, and the close proximity of the site to public transport services and higher education institutions it is considered that the proposed use in principle is acceptable in this location."
