The business school at Bath Spa University has been named as a finalist in the Education category of the 2019 Bath Life Awards.

The award recognises outstanding teaching establishments in the city and represents the second nomination for the Business School this academic year.

This nomination for the Newton Park campus-based Bath Business School follows a two-year period of transformation of its curriculum.

During this time a number of new courses have been launched, including entrepreneurship, and festivals and events.

As part of the courses students complete real-life assessments to prepare them for work, including working on live festivals and events, pitching to industry professionals and working on HR management consultancy projects.

Dean of the Bath Business School, Professor Georgina Andrews, said: "We are delighted to have been shortlisted for a Bath Life Education Award. This would not have been possible without the amazing team of colleagues and fantastic students that make our Business School so unique and I would like to say a big well done to them."
