The University of Dundee has been ranked 4th among UK universities for overall student satisfaction in the 2019 National Student Survey (NSS).

The University achieved an overall satisfaction score of 90%, up 2% on the 2018 result and well above the sector average of 84%.

The National Student Survey is an independent census of almost half a million students and evaluates how satisfied students are with the quality of their higher education experience.

In addition to being ranked 2nd in Scotland for overall satisfaction, the University was ranked 1st in the UK for course satisfaction in six different subject areas.

Commenting on the ranking, Professor Lynn Kilbride, Interim Vice-Principal (Education) at the University, said: "This is a fantastic result that demonstrates once again that we provide one of the best student experiences to be found anywhere in the UK."

"We are extremely proud of the excellent experience we offer students, whose interests are at the heart of everything we do. Staff and student representatives work closely to ensure that the student voice is heard at all levels of decision making. This result is something we can all take a great deal of pride in."
