A deal has been reached between Alumno Group and Curlew Capital on the development of new student accommodation in Norwich.

The project at Benedict's Gate was granted planning permission last year and represents the third project Alumno has developed in Norwich.

The latest site was acquired by Curlew Capital that is exclusive to clients of CBRE Global Investment Partners.

Once built, the scheme will consist of 302 en-suite and studio rooms with the development providing high-quality external amenity.

In addition to the PBSA, there will be a new public car park run by the council, whilst Alumno is also investing in public art installations to ensure a lasting legacy for the development.

Commenting on the scheme, Alumno managing director David Campbell said: "With two universities in the city, there is a need for more quality student accommodation, and we're happy to be working in partnership with the universities, the council and the local community to deliver this, as well as helping the council with its regeneration plans and rigorous planning blueprint."

"The new student communities will be a welcome boost for local businesses, and the new community and cultural hub this creates will drive further investment and opportunities in the west of city centre."
