The University of Salford has cemented its position as experts in Esports following the appointment of two academics on the British Esports Advisory Board.

Dr Maria Stukoff and Professor Andy Miah join the board and bring with them a wealth of experience and insight in this expanding sector. Board members will meet each quarter to discuss areas of focus, as well as getting in activities and speaking at industry events.

Sheila Pankhurst, Dean of the School of Science, Engineering & Environment said: "We are delighted that two of our colleagues have recently been appointed as board members at the British Esports Association. This is great news for our University as it connects the research that we do in this area directly with the industry. We are keen on developing and promoting the innovative use of digital technologies and bringing this into our teaching to help prepare our students for the jobs of the future."
