Two blocks of student accommodation in Bristol have been snapped up for £18.65 million.

The Centre Gate is an 86-bed scheme that contains a mix of studios, twodios and three-bed apartments. The second scheme dubbed The Colston, is a 77-bed residence that comes equipped with a communal lounge.

Julian Painter, director at HBD, which developed both assets as part of a joint venture with The Markey Group, said: "Both prime assets, Centre Gate and The Colston were HBD's first foray into the student accommodation market, which has proved very successful."

"Both have a solid trading history, are extremely well-located and are designed to the highest standards, so we've no doubt that they will continue to perform well."

Both buildings have been recently refurbished with the sale not impacting how the residences will be managed.
