Plans to build 703 student bedrooms in Nottingham look like they will go ahead after the development was recommended for approval by the City Council.

Cassidy Group is hoping to build the purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) on the west side of Deakins Place.

The site is currently home to several industrial buildings occupied by GB Willbond Ltd. Under the proposals, the existing structures will be demolished to make way for a 7-storey scheme that would contain a mix of cluster flats and studio units.

The site will also come equipped with a large central communal area, along with a cinema room, laundry facilities, office, and reception.

The final outcome of the scheme is due to be decided on 18th December.
