Plans for a new high-rise 328-bed student accommodation scheme have been submitted. The scheme would be off Jockey Street in a four to twelve storey development and would include a cage.

The site is currently a car park and is a short walk to Swansea's High Street tail station.

A previous application for a 414-bed development was rejected and upheld on appeal due to the scale and impact the development would have on road safety.

The applicant is Garip Demirci.

The new planning statements outlines that there will be landscaped area between the building and the roadside along with CCTV and further lighting.

To resolve any parking issues there have been 10 parking spaces allocated and the tenancy contract is to include a clause stipulating tenants will not park near the development.

In addition to the parking spaces, 164 bike spaces are also expected to be allocated.
