Empiric has announced the appointment of Duncan Garrood as the company's new chief executive.
Duncan previously worked as the CEO of Ten Entertainment Group, the UK's second-largest operator of family entertainment centres. He has also worked as the CEO of Lunch Taverns plc, helping to navigate the company's turnaround and eventual sale, after spending six years with M.H Alshaya Co, one of the world's largest licenced retailed operators.
Duncan will join Empiric no later than January 1st 2021. For the time being, Lynne Fennah will continue to take on additional executive responsibilities and remains supported by a strong senior leadership team and board, under the direction of Mark Pain, Chairman. Following the announcement of his departure on 18 March 2020, Tim Attlee will step down as CEO of the company on 30 June 2020, the company said.
