Peter Holden has joined iQ Student Accommodation as its chief development and investment officer.

Peter joins from Round Hill Capital and will report to iQ chief executive Rob Roger. He spent 5 years at Round Hill, leading and building the company's investment and development programme in Europe and the US. During this time, he helped deliver more than 40 schemes, including more than 13,000 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) and built-to-rent beds, large scale community masterplans, and commercial and industrial schemes.

Commenting on his appointment, Rob Roger said: "I am delighted that Peter has chosen to join iQ as chief development and investment officer, bringing with him over 20 years of international real estate development experience."

"With his track record of successfully delivering multi-site development projects, Peter will be an excellent addition to our management team. With a strong development pipeline in cities of highest student demand and our disciplined and focused approach to investing in our portfolio, we are well positioned for the future as we continue delivering high-quality accommodation for the thousands of students who choose to live with iQ."

Holden added: "IQ has built a market leading portfolio of purpose built student accommodation in the UK, and has an excellent track record for investment and growth across the portfolio. I am really delighted to join the team and continue to grow the business as high quality student accommodation continues to be in high demand for occupiers and investors."
