Construction work on a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) block in Swansea has ground to a halt after contractors went into administration.

Create Construction called in administrators after determining trading conditions became unviable for the company.

The company have been working on sites in Liverpool, Leicester, Coventry, Salford and in Swansea.

With the company entering administration no work has been carried out on the site for the past fortnight. However, Bricks Group, says new partners are in place and work is expected to be completed in stages over the next few months. As a result, the scheme is still due to open in time for the next academic year.

The 706-bed development will be managed by True Student, the operating arm of Bricks Group.
