RENT + SERVICES PAYMENT
The first month to be paid on arrival. The remainder can be paid in full for the year within the first two weeks with a 5% discount, or paid monthly on the same date as the contract is signed on moving in as cash or a Standing Order from a UK account. Transfers from International accounts not accepted due to long and erratic delays.
The services included are gas, electricity, water, fibre-optic high speed broadband and landline but not call charges, plus grass is cut and gardening done by the landlord.
We pay the service providers to make it easier for you and charge you a fixed sum along with the rent, estimated from previous years, with a spreadsheet to show your use. If you use more or less, we ask for the extra or give a refund.
The copy of your Student Registration will be used by us to get you Council Tax exemption.
DAMAGES DEPOSIT PAYMENT:
On moving in day a returnable damages deposit must be paid in cash or transferred in advance to us by that date. This is held in the DPS Government approved scheme and is the same amount as one month's rent and services.
