Two rooms are available for lodgers in this private house shared with a live-in landlord in the popular Avenues area of Hull. International postgraduates, Erasmus students, mature students and staff are especially welcome. Flexible contracts are available for students or staff staying only a few months. The quoted rent is for students only, please enquire about the rent for non-students.
One room is a double bedroom (£85pw) and the other is a single bedroom (£85pw). Both rooms feature a single bed, double wardrobe, drawer cabinet, wall mounted mirror, desk, desk lamp, and an adjustable office chair. The south facing windows overlook the garden, admitting the sun to make the rooms warm and bright throughout the day.
In the fitted kitchen you will find a gas hob / cooker, cooker hood, electric oven, double sink, drainer and a fire blanket. There is a separate fridge for the tenants who have shared use of the freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots & pans, cutlery, plates and mugs.
The dining area has plenty of space for a table with four dining chairs and two comfortable leather easy chairs to relax in.
The spacious downstairs bathroom features a thermostatically controlled shower over the bath, a WC and sink with mirrored cabinet. The upstairs toilet has a sink and mirrored cabinet.
WiFi internet access and utilities (gas / electric / water) are inclusive but a small fixed monthly contribution buys shared consumables (toilet paper, kitchen paper, laundry detergent, cleaning materials, etc.). Bedding (duvet, duvet cover, sheets, pillows and pillowcases, and towel) are provided. This has always been appreciated by international students as it's not provided in most rented accommodation. The house is protected by a burglar alarm and there is a secure locking point for bicycles in the garden.
An automatic washing machine is available for tenants to do their laundry which may be dried on the washing line in the garden or aired on the clothes drying rack in the spacious downstairs bathroom.
Ella Street, famous for community spirit, is also known as the Street of Birds and Shadows after a public art project which this property features in.
