A prominent office in Huddersfield could be converted into student accommodation.

The eight-storey mixed-use commercial scheme in Huddersfield has planning permission to convert the upper floors into 45 studio apartments.

With the main University of Huddersfield campus located close by, the property offers the opportunity to convert the site into high-quality student accommodation.

The town is already undergoing a significant regeneration project as part of a £250m masterplan and the council recently acquired the Piazza Shopping Centre, with plans to create a new cultural leisure quarter and urban park.

Offers have been invited in excess of £2m for the freehold interest with the site currently being advertised by CBRE's Operational Real Estate team.
