Student Flats in Lancaster Completed After Delays

A £6.5m student housing scheme in Lancaster has now been completed after experiencing construction delays.
Priestley Construction, the contractor based in Leeds are behind the scheme, which is located on Cable Street in Lancaster.
The development saw the conversion of a five-storey listed building alongside a new 19,217 sq ft building. providing 89 new student apartments.
Delays were caused due to works completed without relevant planning permissions, which led to additional building work being required.
The project was completed for the client 'Priestley Homes' with 'Together' as the funding partner.
Chief executive officer of the Priestly Group, Nathan Priestley, said: "The delivery of Cable Street was a success despite the setbacks that we encountered. It is a testament to the team at Priestley Construction, their expertise and technical proficiency have allowed us to deliver top-notch student accommodation to our usual industry-renowned high standards.
"We have transformed the Grade-II listed building into a striking, modern communal area for the students to enjoy".
The Cable Street accommodation is being advertised for the 2022/23 academic year by student accommodation operators Yugo.
