Mixed-use Scheme in Leamington Spa Seeks Approval

Plans have been submitted for a mixed-use scheme in Leamington Spa which, if approved, is set to provide over 300 new student beds.

Developers HG are behind the scheme, which aims to provide a new creative co-working hub spanning over 18,000 sq ft alongside the 328-bed student accommodation construction.

Sustainability measures and features have also been planned, which include rainwater harvesting, renewable energy generation on-site and planting an extensive number of trees in the area.

Estimates provided by Warwick District Council indicate that less than 20% of the almost 6,000 students living in Leamington Spa are accommodated by purpose-built student accommodation.

Director of HG Living, Rob Greaves, commented: "We are delighted to be submitting plans following many months of pre-planning work and community outreach. We have undertaken a significant period of engagement with both the district and county council as well as residents in order to put forward our proposals to transform the site in line with the Creative Quarter vision for the area.
