Plans to build hundreds of more beds in Bristol have been submitted.

The latest development, submitted by Victoria Hall, is in Freestone Road and consists of 204 bedrooms in the style of townhouse accommodation.

Sitting alongside the railway line into Temple Meads station, the purpose-built student accommodation will be linked by a series of footbridges.

The plans have been designed by architect Chapman Taylor, which said the scheme would "complement the industrial heritage of the wider Silverthorne Lane area."

If the project is granted planning permission it is hoped the development will be completed in time for the 2022-23 academic year when the University of Bristol opens its Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus.
