Another major development has been granted permission in Nottingham's City Centre.
The proposed scheme, put forward by Urban Developments' Engage student brand, will provide an additional 297 beds to the growing student population.
Situated on traffic street, the development site is currently being occupied by a car park and two industrial units.
Works on the new development are scheduled to begin next year. The scheme will consist of two buildings, standing at five and six storeys.
The new accommodation block aims to facilitate a mix of cluster apartments and studios alongside communal spaces, a gym and laundry facilities.
Brendon Hutchinson, managing director of Urban Group Ltd, said: "Securing planning permission for this scheme, which is within easy reach of the city's universities, is great news for the development team and Nottingham's Southside Regeneration Area as a whole.
"It will become a key phase in the area's masterplan and will offer Nottingham's expanding student population exceptional homes with superb facilities, as well as bringing hundreds of socially and economically active students into this part of the city centre."
The development is aiming for completion by summer 2023.
