Plans have been submitted for a new purpose-built student accommodation scheme in the city centre of Belfast, one of the largest projects to date.
The proposals, which have been brought forward by Mandeville Developments NI, would see 862 units constructed close to Ulster University's campus on York Street.
Prior to the planning submission, it was originally indicated that the scheme would comprise 790 beds.
Currently, the largest scheme in Belfast to have been granted the green light is a 774-unit scheme under development by Student Roost on Nelson Street.
The Student Roost portfolio is currently being acquired by a joint venture between Singapore's sovereign wealth fund and US-based property management group Greystar.
Closeby to the Mandeville Developments scheme, work is ongoing to complete a 400-bed project due to open in time for this coming academic year.
Another large scheme to already benefit from planning is the £55m project on Donegall street headed by the Lotus Group.
In recent years, the Mandeville site on York Street has been used as a car park before recently being cleared of all remaining structures.
Included in the proposals are plans for a cafe, retail space and an internal courtyard.
Mandeville Developments NI was incorporated in November 2021 and is owned by GK Capital.
