Glasgow City Council has approved the development plans for City Wharf, a project by Dandara Living, a division of the Dandara Group and a provider of purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA). Positioned at Anderston Quay, this upcoming development will include PBSA, Build to Rent apartments, amenity spaces, and commercial units.

Nestled on a previously unused site with views of the Kingston Bridge, City Wharf is set to offer almost 490 student beds, along with 500 energy-efficient one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes available for rent. Additionally, the development will provide space for various commercial purposes.

Manson architects have crafted a design that encompasses residential amenities on the ground and first floors, featuring a cycle hub, a spacious open-plan gym, a residents' lounge, and co-working spaces that provide scenic views of the River Clyde.

Furthermore, the development will introduce a new urban park accessible to both residents and the broader local community. Residents will also have access to private courtyard spaces and recreational areas, enhanced by extensive planting and landscaping throughout the premises.

With a robust pipeline that includes over 5,000 homes and student beds, Dandara Group and Dandara Living are poised for the next significant leap in their portfolio with the exciting addition of City Wharf.

"We're delighted City Wharf has been given the green light. It will play a key role in the significant transformation this part of the city is undergoing and help to bring more people into the area extending the vibrancy of the Clyde waterfront."
