Bishop Grosseteste is a relatively small institution educating just 2,300 full-time students. The university prides itself on offering a communal feel due to a smaller intake of students. However, BGU have embarked on a five-year plan that will see an expansion in the number of students, with the figure rising to around 4,500 by 2019. Brayford Pool is a natural lake that lies next to the main campus of the University of Lincoln.
