Aberdeen has a very large student population, meaning that there’s busy nightlife in the city nearly every night. There are a variety of bars, clubs and restaurants to choose from, and when you stay at Liberty House – Don Street you’ll never be far from the action.
For great entertainment on your doorstep, why not sample the University of Aberdeen's student union, referred to as the Students' Association? It's just 15 minutes’ walk from the residence. The Association hosts a range of themed evenings throughout the academic year, with live music and fantastic drink offers – perfect for a weekday break.
If you don’t fancy cooking, or want to eat out; King Street is a 10 minute walk from the residence and has a selection of restaurants and takeaways. There are many different cuisines to tickle everyone’s taste buds, including Manzil for traditional Indian, Sam’s Chinese, and Pizza Hut. For those with a sweet tooth, why not try Casa di Gelato for a delicious ice cream - come rain or shine!
Alternatively, you can venture further into the city centre by bus where you will find a bigger range of well-known chain restaurants, including Nando’s, Cosmo’s World Buffet, Prezzo and Ask plus many more.
Many of Aberdeen’s pubs, clubs and bars can be found at either Union or Belmont Street, which is a 15 minute bus ride or 10 minute taxi ride away. Most of the best student deals are on Monday and Wednesday nights. Triple Kirks, Revolution, Paramount and Jam Jar are just a few of the places you can head to if you’re on a budget.
Aberdeen’s most popular student nightclubs can be found in the city centre and there are many to take your pick from. Some favourites include 42 Below (featuring Techno Electronica and House DJs), The Assembly, Exodus (for themed nights throughout the week) and Nox, the city’s newest nightclub.
