So bright you cannot possibly walk past the street and miss it, it is the first corner end terrace house facing on to "Females" entrance of the Award Winning Grade 1 Listed HIGH STREET Baths ( known as the Victoria Baths, it is closed for Swimming and Sauna, sadly & the name of the street has changed to Hathersage Road, since my mother use to go their as a ragged child).
The house has a 20 cylinder barrel lock wooden front door fitted with internal security chain and observation lens. The large rear lounge has a 50 inch game friendly plasma tv with multiple free to view channels, surrounded by 3 leather almost antique ( close to 50 years old, like me) Chesterfield sofas, and 3 wooden coffee tables. The window openings are internally set to small to guard against intrusion and black chic blackout blinds are installed, as in all bedrooms. The room receives extra light from a glass block window which creates a feeling of space in comparison to other houses in the surrounding streets.
Unlimited download wifi internet by plusnet is installed therein, and there is also a coat stand and burglar alarm located in the room also. There is also a nest of 4 stackable dining chairs which can be utilised with a the dining table stored in the Kitchen, for dinner parties etc..
The kitchen is fully tiled and has; a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine and tumble dryer. The door is bolted top and bottom and opens outward to prevent intrusion. I have not had a break in at any of seven houses in more than 15 years and then that tenant brought it upon herself, by not being smart.)
There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. All have Ikea DOUBLE metal frames beds fitted with an Ikea mattress ( fitted with a protector) supported by Ikea's most expensive slat system to look after your back.( Beware recovered mattresses with fire safe labels stuck Guardian recently reported on that scam).
All bedrooms have large wooden desks with draws, a swivel office desk chairs, bins, lampshades, chests of draws, wardrobes or hangar units, wall hung coat racks with hooks for 5 coats, black "Blackout" blinds and an interlinked smoke detector alarm sounders, The doors are smoke sealed fire doors which will self close and can be secured with a key/ 3 lever lock. The front upper floor bedroom has a fire escape window to conform with current regulations.
There is a tiled bathroom with a toilet, washbasin, coat hooks, towel trying rail for 3 towels and a boiler fed thermostatic shower over bath, which features 3 showering options. An overhead rain shower, a hand held shower head on a long flex if you wish to recline in the bath or the shower head on a height adjustable rail.
To the rear there is a padlocked gated yard with wooden picnic table.
There are regular campus/city/south Manchester buses 4 mins away on Upper Brook Street. It is an 8 mins walk to Wilmslow Road, Whitworth Park, Tesco, Lidl and Curry Mile, 10 mins walk to ASDA Longsight. There are a number of local shops open until 10am including food takeaways. In the vicinity are a number of private halls of reisidence and the surrounding street are popular with students, but not dominated by them like parts of Fallowfield.
