Area Information - West Didsbury
West Didsbury is a popular area for older students and professionals alike for its quieter and more relaxed atmosphere. Dubbed by the Guardian newspaper as Bohemia, the area is popular for its independent retailers and great variety of places to eat. Places to visit include the Metropolitan, one of the areas most popular pubs, and Crazy Wendys, a lovely Thai restaurant where you are sure to be entertained by the owner Wendys famous Elvis renditions.
If you enjoy going out to eat or for a quiet drink in the pub, West Didsbury is the place for you, with the best thing about it being the variety of pub and restaurant choices.
The worst thing about it could be the distance from the main campus of the university if you are a student; however, there are great transport links to make it easier and quicker to get around.
