York St John is split into four main faculties; Arts, Education and Theology, the Business School and Health and Life Sciences. Since achieving university status in 2006 the university has grown and now teaches more than 6,500 students a year. The institution is spaced across an eleven-acre city campus, with two major facilities at Fountains Learning Centre and De Grey Court.
